BMRB Elite 8 - Nirvana beats Rage Against the Machine, 21-14

In this corner,

- Hailing from Seattle, Washington
- They brought you Bleach in 1989, Nevermind in 1991, and In Utero in 1993
- Their music forever changed the alternative rock landscape
- They have beaten their three previous BMRB foes by a combined score of 79-11

...and in this corner,

- From Los Angeles, California
- Their rapcore sound was exemplified in their 1992 Self-Titled debut, and was continued in 1996 with Evil Empire, and 1999 with The Battle of Los Angeles
- They chaotically fused funk, metal, punk, and hip-hop into a unique sound that has been widely imitated, but never equalled.

Ladies and Gentlemen.......

Looks like this battle was over quite early.... :-)
Useless Trivia of the day

:~(

RATM is my all-time favorite band, but I know that most everyone is into Nirvana more. Both Nevermind and RATM (self-titled) are flawless discs with no bad songs on either of them. At least they were one of the elite 8. ;-D

Rage trivia question:

The song Testify has the lines

"who controls the past now, controls the future
who controls the present now, controls the past
who controls the past now controls the future

who controls the present now?"

This is a reference from what classic novel?
"I'm going to meet the greatest umpire of all, and he knows I'm innocent."

-Shoeless Joe Jackson
