Total Bases

Does the category 'Total Bases' include Walks? Sportsline projections have Barry Bonds at 60th in TB with 165 walks.

60th can't possibly include that amount of walks, right?

No BBs just 1B, 2B*2, 3B*3 and HR*4.

I traded Thome for Bonds with the understanding that walks were indeed included in TB's (both of us actually thought this to be true). Doesn't seem so much of a good deal anymore, huh?

No, total bases are just those that are accumlated through hits. 60th seems pretty low for Bonds though, he should have no problem being right around the 300 TB mark.

That deal is still great for you. There is going to be very little difference in TB between Bonds and Thome, plus you get a much better BA and more R. Probably slightly less RBI but well worth the trade.

Yeah. It's a keeper league though. I know Thome is only a couple of years behind Barry, but still. The goal is to not only look out for the future, but to win EVERY year, right?
