Bartolo Colon..Still an ace?

Hey guys,

I was just wonderin what colon would do this year. Do you think he could rebound and have a stud-like year? What are his projections with an angels team?

I've got my doubts about him being ace material, and based on where I've seen him drafted so far I think a lot of other guys do too. I've been in 3 drafts so far and Escobar has been drafted well in front of him in all 3.

I don't like his chances to repeat his '03 numbers too much, but he's definitelya high risk/high reward guy that you could take a chance on late in the draft.

I think that his ace days are over. His weight increase has led to a stat decrease.

No where near a fantasy ace. He is more a 3rd or 4th starter.

I think he misses out on stud status BUT you can figure him for 14+ wins every year. He's good if you can stomach his ERA.

I'm willing to bet that Colon bounces back nicely this year. He was horrible pre All Star (27 HR!) but rebounded in the second half.

Should win plenty, his K rate improved especially in the second half so he could potentially be a huge bargain IMO.

if hes your ace your probably in trouble unless your hitters include pujols tejada arod beltran ichiro and maybe tex or cabrera and your two closers are gagne and lidge...
