So, with the news coming out of FLA that borowski is looking really good again and seems to be the favorite to get the closing job again, how much would you pay for him? Would you pay $4?

Depends on my team's situation. If I were desperate for saves, then yeah. But just remember that he went through rehab, not surgery. I'm no doctor, but that tells me it would be awfully easy to reinjure his shoulder.
I still think that Dusty is going to procrastinate making a 'decision' that will impact everyone's mental side and will just go DTD and do closer by committee approach. They have a number of candidates who all have some potential. If anybody gets not, he'll probably ride the hot hand but I don't see him making a call.
Well, acid knows my opinion on this cuzz I drafted Borowski in our league.
The closer-by-committee aproach hasn't worked well for any good team in recent memory, and I don't think Dusty will use it. I think he'll pick a closer, but he doesn't want to give the job to JoeBo until he proves he's healthy and good.
I think JoeBo has the inside track on the job because he's already proven he can get the job done when healthy. Hawkins blew a heck of a lot of save opps last year. I think it's pretty obvious that he's a set-up guy, not a closer. Dempster appears to be getting groomed for a spot in the rotation. Farnsworth is too wild.
So, if JoeBo is healthy and does well this spring I think he'll have the job.
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
and don't forget, now that he's a Tiger, that won't help his chances of closing for the cubs either.
Thx for the update. I didn't know that he had moved on.

yeh - I personally believe that Jobo is going to have a great season - in spring training so far his velocity has been around 90... pretty good for having no surgery id say. He says he feels awesome and that he has confidence that he'll be the closer fo this season. The only thing that will hold him back from getting many saves i think is if the cubs offense flops, which again, IMO, it won't do. I'd go with Jobo, and if he were the only choice, i'd have confidence that he would be a fine closer choice.
hes available in all 4 of my leagues, i wish i new for sure if he was closing, i have 2 closers on all my teams and wouldnt mind having the 3 considering i have mota and bjryan as my 2nd closers on my teams
