Orlando Hernandez(El Duque) for the rest of the year?

How do you think he will do? I chose to drop this guy for someone more stable in the rotation. He doesn't look like he will be in the rotation after Brown and Mussina become healthy. What do you guys think? Is he going to have value all year?

I just picked up El Duque too. My guess is by the time Brown and Mussina are back, Lieber will have pitched his way out of the rotation. Lieber has looked good lately though. This is definately something to keep an eye on.

All things equal, I think that Contreras is better suited for the pen over the other guys.

The Rotoworld.com staff is expecting Hernandez to still return to the bullpen eventually.

Rotoworld.com wrote:Orlando Hernandez pitched seven shutout innings and struck out 10 Blue Jays today.
Although he pitched quite a bit better than he did in his two victories, Hernandez didn't win today since neither team scored until Ruben Sierra's solo homer in the bottom of the ninth. El Duque is still likely to be bumped from the rotation early next month, but he should be an asset in middle relief for the Yankees. Jul. 22 - 4:26 pm et

He's older amd smarter now. He could be the one going as part of a trade to get Johnson.

I do not know why the D'Backs would want him.

Part of the reason the Yanks brought ElDuque back was to help Contreras. He's cheap, has a one year deal, and pitched his *ss off today...he's not going anywhere.
