Is he worth picking up? His start wasnt anything amazing but he is capable of being a 2nd half sleeper

I wouldn't count out El Duque. I'm an avid Yankee hater but I like the way he pitches. Very creative in his pitches, deliveries, and hides the ball well. I know he is an injury risk but he is a solid pitcher when healthy. He's got a career record of 53-38 with a nice 4.04 ERA. Also a .237 BAA and 1.23 WHIP. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a solid season, but like I said before, an injury risk nonetheless.

When he moves to middle relief, could he be effective like a poor man's Scott Shields?

When K Brown returns I don't see where he fits in....except for mid relief...btw, he's 38.

Ok then Contreras will. And where exactly do you get your information that Orlando is 38?

it's down the page:
Hernandez, believed to be 38, spent last year on Montreal's disabled list, missing the entire season after getting hurt in spring training.

He was believed to be like 32 or 33 when he left the Yankees for Montreal. I don't know what they're talking about.
