Florida Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez said he might bat OF Michael Stanton second or seventh when he makes the move up to the big leagues, which is expected to come in early to mid June, according to The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson. OFs Chris Coghlan and Cameron Maybin may be moved into a platoon to give Stanton playing time.
The team made a roster move after tonight’s game, optioning outfielder Bryan Petersen to Class AAA New Orleans. A player will be called up tomorrow to take Petersen’s place.
But I don’t think Mike Stanton is the player coming up tomorrow. I think the team will look to replace left-hitting Petersen with another lefty bat to come off the bench.
As reporters were leaving manager Fredi Gonzalez’s office after his post-game session, someone asked if the player to be called up had the initials ‘M S’.
Gonzalez kind of frowned and shook his head ‘no,’ before injecting some humor with the reply: “You mean Mike Schmidt?”

Joe Frisaro, the Marlins' beat writer for MLB.com, speculates that Michael Stanton could be called up by the Marlins at some point between June 5-8.
Our View: The Marlins haven't publicly discussed when they plan on bringing the touted prospect up, but it should come at some point in early June over the next week or two. Stanton will probably start out lower on in the lineup, likely at No. 7, though you have to believe he'll play nearly every day. That would mean either Cameron Maybin or reigning NL Rookie of the Year Chris Coghlan would be bumped from the lineup, though the two struggling outfielders could potentially platoon.
I am adding today given he should be up in 7-10 days. Worth the gamble.
What realistic stats are expected out of Stanton when he does get called up? I picked him up a few weeks ago and currently have Soriano and Byrd in my OF. I'm hoping to replace one of them with Stanton, but not sure if he will be better than either of them...

Thanks
I would say a line like this would be within reason...
