I finally pulled the trigger on Manny here. In a perfect world (aka if I already knew he was signed somewhere I was happy with), I'd likely have him top 5, with the order being...
Braun Sizemore Beltran Hamilton Ramirez
We're talking about a guy that went .332/.430/.601 last year with 37 HR and 121 RBI. The guy has a chance to beat out every other guy we've voted for so far. I just don't feel comfortable picking him any higher than 8 or so without seeing where the heck he's going to end up.
Just about everything I said about Carlos Lee I could say about Manny. Of course the X factor being that he's still a FA and has a chance of going to an unfavorable ballpark. Still he's the best choice left here.
Hal·la·day, n. 1. every fifth day in Philadelphia. 2. a day of rest for the bullpen. 3. innings eater. 4. doc. 5. ace.
Upton!!!!! Especially considering he was partially injured last year (supposedly the reason his power numbers were low). I got love for Manny but he's a FA still and Upton has Upside.
No love for Quentin here? Kid was on a 43-HR pace with a very solid .288 AVG. He has 45 HR/.315 AVG/15 SB upside with a ton of R/RBI. I voted for him 3 picks ago.
Rocinante2: you know Rocinante2: its easy to dismiss the orioles as a bad team ofanrex: go on Rocinante2: i'm done Rocinante2: lmao
I'll take Upton here as well, with Manny being my next option. Of course, when his situation settles and we can see the park/lineup he'll be hitting in, he could easily shoot up to top 3-5.
