I love these threads.......

Define "Done"......"Done" as in this season......."Done" as in his career......."Done" brushing his teeth......etc.

What do you mean?

He's still seeing the ball great (OBP) and hitting for average fairly well. His power is all that's missing. Why?

He's hitting more ground balls and getting less line drives.

Image

Notice that he did this back in 2005. The key for him that year was getting the line drive rates back to his career levels. What are his line drives doing this year? Just take a look at the last few games. Career norms. And his fly ball rate is actually better than it was that year.

If you don't recall his 2005 season, check out what his ISO did that year:

Not too shabby of a second half if you ask me. I say buy low.

I would have probably just mentioned the fact that he's a consistent 35 HR power hitter, but I think I like the graph more. Nice ;-D

And I told my teacher that graphs are useless and there is no use for them in life. Sorry Mrs Gasparino...I was wrong!

I've been saying bust from day 1, but even that being said, I would go ahead and buy low if you can get him REALLY low. You would have to almost be getting away with murder though.
