Is Joba worth a last-round pick?

Postby Jekke » Sat Jan 15, 2011 3:45 pm

The New York Times seems to think he's possible trade bait, following the Soriano trade: ... ?src=twrhp

As a middle reliever, he has close to zero fantasy value. If he goes elsewhere, he could be a starter or closer. There's even a small chance that the Yankees, with their shaky rotation, will let him start again later in the season.

Anyone think he's worth a last-round pick?

This is an old thread but I thought I would put my 2 cents in about Joba. I think he is hit and miss as far as when he pitches good as of right now he sits with a 6.35 ERA with 5k's.. he would be alright to add to the rotation for that extra bump but make sure you have some solid aces first.

The problem, too is that he now has the reputation of being a bit immature to go along wit the injury history and inconsistency.

I doubt you'd get more than a rosin bag for him at this point.
