Auction Results, WHIR

Postby ROC AllStars » Sat Mar 23, 2013 1:35 pm

10 team fantasy points league, auction for first 17 players, snake draft for the rest (bench). $200 limit.

How does this look? Potentially short on SP and weak at SS. Bench hasn't been picked yet.

C: Napoli ($3)
1B: Fielder ($28)
2B: Kinsler ($24)
3B: Longoria ($21)
SS: Jeter ($2)
OF (start 4): Kemp ($30); CarGo ($26); Bourn ($5); Gardner ($1)
UTIL: Ortiz ($3)

SP: Weaver ($28); Bumgarner ($16); CJ Wilson ($7); Tim Hudson ($1); Josh Beckett ($1)
RP: Perez ($3); Putz ($1)

I know Ortiz is hurt, but I thought he was worth a shot with my last three bucks.

Leave a link, WHIR.

Not high on jeter this year with age injury and loss of a lot of other bats in his lineup. Any players on the waiver wire you can get like andrelton Simmons or josh Rutledge? Also don't trust Beckett one bit. I do like the balance of power and speed you have.
Thanks for helping me out.

You definitely got some good value later with pitching. I guess I would see who your bench players could be. In a 10 team league, you could easily get someone to replace Ortiz or Jeter for the time being. The thing about SS, there's not much difference in value between the 10th ranked and 15th probably, so you probably won't be taking a huge hit getting another SS on the bench. Your hitting balance is great too. Napoli for $3 is a steal.

Strong power/speed throughout. I like Weaver but I don't think he's $12 better than MadBum. Love how cheaply you got speed (Bourn/Gardner) and saves. Throw in some pitching depth and it's a job well done. Thanks for the help on mine.
