Too many keepers, have to cut down to 8

Postby Winnipeg » Thu Jan 24, 2013 5:07 pm

Hey guys, I'm in a standard 5X5 Roto keeper league, salary cap $260 and I folded last year early on in order to stock up for this season. I did this too well the players I'm considering are:
Matt Cain $30 ($15 but a third year option adds an extra 15)
Stephen Strasburg $21 ($6 but add $15 for third year)
Chris Sale $5
Johnny Cueto $9
Sergio Romo $5
Joe Mauer $19
David Wright $19
Alcides Escobar $1
Mark Trumbo $9
Josh Hamilton $28

I also have Jordan Zimmerman who at a third year would be $16, Scott Diamond who as my second FA pickup keeper would be $10 (Romo is my first for $5,) Omar Infante $3 and Yonder Alonso $1. I'm confident I can get these guys at similar prices in the auction if I want them so I'm leaving them off the list.
I appreciate any comments!

C position is in much better shape than ever, if it is a 1 C league Mauer can be left off your list as can a $30 Cain

I appreciate the feedback guys!
I should have mentioned it is a 2 C league... does that change anyone's answer?

Not for me, I think what you will be getting and their value is better then paying $19 for Mauer.

I agree, and you can get Mauer at $19 again.
