Hey guys, just drafted a team last week for a really competitive cash league, wondering what your thoughts are. I do a lot of research going into drafts and am pretty happy with the result. New news about Braun's injury definitely has me worried, but would appreciate any feedback or advice for improvements.
League Settings are: H, HR, 3B, SB, RBI, R, AVG, OPS, E, K for hitting W, L, CG, SO, SV, H, HR, BB, ERA, K/9 for pitching
HITTERS C - Ryan Doumit 1B - Chris Davis 2B - Dan Uggla SS - JJ Hardy 3B - Ryan Zimmerman OF - Ryan Braun OF - Alfonso Soriano OF - Matt Holliday Util - Justin Upton Bench - Alex Gordon Bench - Ian Stewart Bench - Shin-Soo Choo Bench - Paul Konerko Bench - Jarrod Saltalamacchia
Pretty much giving up stolen bases, but tried to load up on power, and guys who hit for a good average, but also have potential to improve.
PITCHERS SP - Cole Hamels SP - Javier Vasquez SP - Scott Kazmir RP - Mike Gonzalez RP - Jason Motte P - Brad Ziegler Bench - Jair Jurrjens Bench - Jonathan Sanchez
A bit thin in pitching, but all guys have high K/9 rates, and I like Vasquez moving to the NL, and for Jurrjens and Sanchez to step up this year.
I dropped Hermida to pickup Motte to fill out my pitching, which I'm already considering reversing right now, but not sure.
Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!

I don't like having 2 catchers when you only start 1 so I would drop Salty for the starting pitcher with the most upside in the FA pool. Other then that I would sit tight with your team going into the season.
Personally, I like the idea of you having to catchers as it is likely for one to wear down eventually, then u can make a change for a while. I would hope that u dont loose any pitchers. I would try to fit Jair Jurjjens in as much as possible as i am looking for him to breakout this year. Great overall roster. You can afford to give up SB/speed if u dominate with power
Hey there, overall I like your team! However, you need Chris Davis to continue doing what he did last year, and I am not a big Ryan Zimmerman fan. I think you have a pretty nice pitching staff, as you said its a bit "thin," but I like how you took 3 solid starters (Hamels/Vazquez/Kazmir,) and then drafted young talent like Jurjjens and Sanchez to round it out. Good luck!
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah Zimmerman's disappointed a lot, but this is my first time having him. I know he typically starts off slow so I'm riding his cold streak playing Stewart and Gordon at 3B til he starts hitting.

I agree here, particularly with Doumit as your #1 C. He's going to have a problem staying healthy. I would keep an eye on the TEX C situation, however, as it is far from guaranteed that Salty is going to be the every day guy all year. All in all, however, I think you have a very solid squad considering it's a 12 team league. Good luck!
