Final 2 Keepers? WHIR

Postby rjforlife » Tue Oct 01, 2013 11:38 pm

10 team H2H, standard 5x5. We can keep up to 6 at different price increases. I've listed who I think are no-brainers with only their 2014 prices, and then the prices for 2014 and 2015 for the potentials.

Locks:

1. Edwin Encarnacion- $10
2. Max Scherzer- $10
3. Chris Sale- $10
4. Hunter Pence- $16

Possibles (Pick 2):

Jay Bruce- $26, $31
Shin-Soo Choo- $19, $23
Andrew McCutchen- $34, $48
Brandon Belt- $5, $10
Alex Gordon- $16, $19

Madison Bumgarner-$19, $23
Chris Archer- $5, $10
Patrick Corbin- $5, $10
Homer Bailey- $8, $10

Corbin looked like a locked but he faded badly. Same goes for Archer. For reference, 10 players cost more than McCutchen's $34 last season, plus inflation will likely drive that price up. Rank em all, rank your top two, anything helps. Drop a link I'll respond quickly.

Shin-Soo Choo- $19, $23 - His value is going to depend a lot on where he signs.

I like Bumgarner and McCutchen from the players you listed. However if Choo signs with a favourable team, it might be worth it to keep him over McCutchen for more flexibility within your budget.

Bailey's values are pretty darn good as well, but I'd feel much more comfortable with Bumgarner as another SP over him despite the $10+ difference.

Here's mine if you can take a look: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=464237

I like Cutch for that price, and then one of Bailey and Corbin is enticing at their respective prices. Bumgarner seems reasonable to keep as well. Choo I like as well, but that makes three OF's already though.

That said, Cutch and Bailey are my gut picks I think. Good luck!

Edited my last thread a bit if you want to take another look.

you have to keep: Andrew McCutchen- $34, $48

Next would be to decide between
Madison Bumgarner-$19, $23
Homer Bailey- $8, $10

I would go for Mad-Bum. He's worth the extra money with a proven record, but I can't blame you if you go for Bailey.

Boston fan:

How many OF do you start? If you start 4+ OF I would definitely keep Brown for sure. Donaldson and Clay Buchholz (go cheap/talent). Maybe trade some of your spare pieces for an elite 1b or 2b keeper...Shields/Brown/Miller/Moore are all very good and maybe can net you another big bat at an infield position which you need. Go now.
