how to acquire Stanton? WHIR

Postby goose in my step » Wed May 01, 2013 1:00 pm

i know stanton just pulled his hammy but i have jose reyes sitting on my DL spot. i have plenty of speed with bourn, marte, pedroia, and gomez getting me steals so i could use some power. i am sitting in first place as of now (26-12-2 record in a h2h weekly lineups league). The team i would be trading with is last in steals which is why i would offer reyes. im usually the "if it aint broke, dont fix it" type but i feel this an opportunity to bolster my lineup.
i was thinking of offering reyes/wells/cain for stanton/hernandez. thoughts on this trade offer? any suggestions are welcomed.
this is my roster

Yeah I have no problem with this trade... Seems you are going to make out when Stanton gets back. He was on fire, shame he hurt himself.

Stanton is out a month is what I'm hearing, but if you have the patience, this could work out in your favor. I would make the deal if he will.

I have Cain too and I would crap my pants if I could get King Felix for him now, so I'm not sure if you will get Felix. I think you might have to add a better outfielder than Wells to get it done. Unless the owner is super-desperate for SB's, he's giving away a big bat that is only out for a little bit + a dominant SP w/subpar run support for a SS who will be out longer than Stanton and a SP who is "elite" but struggling bad.

Maybe Bourn instead of Wells? (But then you will be losing SB's) Maybe he will counter with S. Miller instead of King Felix?

Let us know if he takes the deal...it would be awesome for you if he did.

well i havent been playing bourn due to his thumb injury and i have still won SB the last two weeks that he's been out. i wouldnt mind subbing bourn for wells. but i will offer wells to see if he bites

That deal works for me. Stanton will rake upon return.

If the other team is dead last in steals, they would probably want more immediate help on that front. Maybe something like Bourn for Stanton would be of interest to them, but I think the offer you are proposing is borderline insulting since Stanton should be back before Reyes, Felix >>> Cain, and Wells' name is tarnished even if he is doing better in NY. My 2-cents.
