Postby dominicfaiola » Wed Apr 03, 2013 11:07 pm

14 team H2H points, 3 keepers per team.

Just got offered a deal

I get: Gio Gonzalez, Howard

I give: Parker, Estrada, Freeman

My staff right now is Stras, Zimmerman, Parker, Ogando, Estrada, Wandy, McDonald.

What'd you guys think? WHIR always!

This is a really tough trade. You are giving up the best player in the deal IMO with Freeman, but Gio is really close in value. Howard > Parker/Estrada but I do think Jarrod and Marco are both very serviceable pitchers this season and who know's if Howard will be able to stay healthy all season. This is a very fair trade when it comes down to it, so you could really argue either way and it just comes down to if you need the better pitcher (Gio) or if you need the better hitter (Freeman).

Agreed. Just a question of whether you can spare freeman.

I'm not too big on Howard but this is an easy accept to me. Howard can come close enough to replacing Freeman's production, and if he goes on one of his usual hot streaks for a week or two, you can sell high on his sexy power numbers. The Gio upgrade is too good to pass up.

I have to agree with some others here. If you can afford to let go of Freddie and have a nice replacement, then go for it. You should get a lot of wins out of Stras, Gio and J Zimmermann.

This is a good trade. I think it works for both sides.

Do it
