Why Moss amd Milone?

Moss showed some decent power for a stretch and Milone didn't do too bad in his first full season as a starter.

Just saying that I don't think they are must-haves, if there are others that you like better. Same thing with someone like Anibel Sanchez. I could see keeping them, but also think that you could get them back pretty easily if they go back into the draft pool

Sorry, I forgot to mention that Hlds is one of the CATs.

The draft usually goes no more than 5 rounds. Not much available. Teams are usually built through trades or your farm sytem(can keep 20 prospects max)

This looks ok to me. Maybe I drop Mayberry and keep Madson. I don't see the Reds picking up his option so depending on what team he lands on, he could have a solid year as a closer or 8th inning guy.

As for why Moss and Milone, because there isn't a lot to cut and someone has to get cut. Neither one has much upside or guaranteed playing time. They had some solid moments this year but you can find those kinds of guys every year.

That is exactly what my thought process was for Moss and Milone. I agree with the Madsen/Mayberry thing as well. If I had to decide right now I keep Mayberry. Especially if Moss gets cut. This way you have 1B covered.

Agreed. I would keep Madson/Mayberry. Moss has some clout but he was in a platoon and really is going to struggle to even repeat last season. Mayberry was supposed to be a big breakout candidate but he made some decent improvement in the 2nd half and hopefully he can continue that progress with a full season under his belt.
