12 team semi-dynasty NL Only. 10 keepers, 6 farm spots, and long term contracts costing $5 a year @year three. I came in second last year with a decent leftovers. Have to replace Braun in OF and Zimmerman at 3B. I am thinking about doing so by trading Kershaw who has one year left at $15.
My Keepers (and if you want to give your opinion on contract extensions too, that would be awesome)
Kershaw $15 - 2013 Wainwright $18- Contract year and considering taking him next 2 years at $23 Jason Motte $5- last year, not extending Tony Cingrani $3- At this point, going to take a flier Anthony Rizzo $5 Ike Davis- Contract year and considering extension to 2 years @ $10 Danny Espinosa $15- 2013 Adam Eaton $8 Justin Ruggiano $3 (Maybe on playing time)
The first two guys out of the money are trying for Kershaw. I am probably looking for an OF and SP ideally.
Trade One: My Kershaw for His Carlos Gonzales $22 through 2014, Trevor Bauer Farm contract, and #1 overall Farm pick this year
Trade Two: My Kershaw for His David Wright $36 (not best contract but fills 3B for 2 years), Jeff Samardjzia $1 (contract year so 2 years @ 6 or 3 yrs @ 11, plus Javier Baez and my choice of Wily Peralta or Casey Kelley on Farm Contracts.
Trade 1 please! CarGo and Kershaw are virtually the same cost & you have an additional season on Gonzalez. Straight up I would much rather have the bat. The fact that he'd be tossing in Bauer is icing on the cake.

Would also love to help on contracts but I don't think I know enough about the league to really be of help.

Thanks guys. We definitely working towards finishing this one off. Does anyone think Cargo gets traded for any reason this offseason? He wants a spare piece, but I think I am pulling the trigger.
Thanks for interest in the contracts: All players acquired in auction are First Year at market price. Farm players start on Zero Year contracts at $5. Year three is the extension year. You can keep the player again @ current price or extend out indefinitely for $5 per year. Example: I can have Ike @ 5 this year and then he automatically returns to auction in 2014. Or I can have him for 2013 and 2014 at $10. And onward and onward.

I don't see why the Rockies would trade him away. He doesn't start to get expensive until after the 2014 season. Even then he'll likely be worth the deal.
With Tulo constantly hurt and underperforming, Cargo is their franchise player. Whenever that contract is up, I have to believe they are going to pay him to keep him hitting. I can understand the worry, as Coors clearly holds nearly all his value, but rest assured, he will be there for the forseeable future.

I agree. Plus David Wright is a fading player (at best) and no wherenear worth $36 imo so why bother?
That said, why Espinosa and Eaton at those prices? Wainwright seems like a bit of a gamble at that price as well though he certainly has the talent to earm that and more.
