Would you drop any of these SP for J. Hammel? WHIR*

Postby StealingHome » Sun Sep 09, 2012 12:18 pm

12-team H2H points league; 5x5 with QS insteaad of W

It looks like Jason Hammel will be a 2-start pitcher the week after next. Would you drop one of these SP for him and why?

Wandy Rodriguez
Anibal Sanchez
Shaun Marcum
Jarrod Parker

Thanks for your help! WHIR

Nope. Decent match-ups and two starts. Take away schedules and none of those pitchers would be enough of an upgrade for me to drop him.

I think that you mis-read my question. Do you like Jason Hammel over any of the others? I wouldn't be dropping Hammel. Thoughts?

Thanks.

Yes to any of them. I'd have to look at the schedule for each of the pitchers before I was able to make a decision about who to cut.

Without looking at remaining matchups, Parker is the only one I would be hesitant to drop. However, I have some Oakland pitchers on my teams, and, if I am not mistaken, the A's still have to go into Yankee Stadium, Texas, Detroit, and Anaheim. All of those teams away from home - I am very tentative. Parker may not hit all of them, but are you confident?

I'd lose Sanchez. Wandy has two starts this week, including SEA.

I have a bye week this week. I ended up dropping Marcum; he hasn't pitched well at all lately, and Hammel will likely ahve 2 starts next week.
