Tabata for Sizemore WHIR

Postby bobnerns » Sun Apr 10, 2011 1:23 pm

I have Jose Tabata in my 14-team, H2H 5x5, 25-man rosters (5 OF start). I've been offered Grady Sizemore for Tabata (from a Pirates fan). Should I take the trade?

My OF is Ryan Braun, Adam Jones, Michael Cuddyer, Ryan Raburn, Coco Crisp, Jose Tabata, and Logan Morrison.

Tabata is off to a blazing start. He's projected at 7 home runs for the year, but already has 2 so I don't know if he has 20/20 potential or is just overachieving early on.

Sizemore has the obvious health factor. My thoughts are that I'm willing to take a risk for a bigger reward if Sizemore can turn in any type of a decent season.

No, I wouldn't do this. Tabata is healthy and is on fire right now. Sizemore is and probably will be a question mark all season. I just wouldn't take that risk. Even if completely healthy, their numbers are likely to be similar. (I don't think Sizemore will hit 20 homers.)

i agree, tabata is on a tear right now and i wouldn't do it. Sizemore is a big question of whether he will perform as well as expected, i'd go tabata. thanks for the help on mine.

I was totally infatuated with Sizemore at one time. I still hope the best for him, but I cannot tell you to lose Tabata for him. Stay put.

Thanks for your input. Good luck!

In total agreement... keep Tabata! Been awhile since we've seen any production from Sizemore. Likely to be a health concearn all season and even when he is in, there's no guarantee that he's gonna hit over .250 w/15 hr if ur lucky... I'm not signing up for that. Thnx for the help on mine.

Keep Tabata. The Pirates rule! JK, but Tabata will be solid all year.

This would be a harder trade for me if I was confident Sizemore would be fine when he returned. However, after being out so long and they type of injury he had, I'm not confident at all that he won't end up on the shelf again for an extended period of time. I'd stick with Tabata.

I agree, keep Tabata. He's playing well now, enjoy it while you can, but Sizemore is always a big question mark.

Lend a hand?
