Doumit or Ruiz

Postby Phillip » Tue Aug 10, 2010 11:37 pm

I just had Soto hit the DL. Should I pick up Ruiz or Doumit. It is a 2 catcher league and my other catcher is Bengie Molina. 6X6 with the extra hitting category being OPS

Id go with Ruiz. He seems to be stepping up lately with some of the Phillies big bats hurt. Thanks for helping with mine.

Or would any of you consider trading a lower tier closer for Suzuki or Y.Molina. I have Wagner, Fuentes, Gregg, Lidge and M.Gonzalez who may soon be the closer for the O's. Thinking of offering Gregg for Suzuki or Gonzalez or Gregg for Molina

Gregg for Suzuki sounds doable, I'd rather have Suzuki than Molina right now. As for Doumit or Ruiz, I'd probably go with the hot bat of Ruiz at the moment. Doumit's been terrible.

Thanks for your help...If you can offload Gregg for Suzuki, that would be the best case scenario. Suzuki's an up and coming star in the league. But if that falls through, go with Ruiz.

Grab Ruiz now so you get the instant production, then send out those offers. If Doumit heats up then make the switch. I tend to stream catchers like that if I don't have a top 5 option.

I also like the Gregg for Suzuki idea from the trades you suggested.

thanks for the help on mine!

I agree; Ruiz now. He'll be good to the rest of the season; it Doumit has a miraculous pickup, you can always consider him later. But he's not worth it at this late stage in the game.
