Strasburg was dropped. WHIR

Do I pick him up? I know he won't be up for a while, but seems like someone worth holding onto. I was planning on picking up C.Young, Latos, Carmona, CJ Wilson, or Cueto. I think Strasburg would be a better pickup though, exception maybe being Young right? Who would you take if anyone and who would you drop? I don't want to have Rasmus and Blanks on my team, Prado is being dropped when Reyes comes back off the DL. Do I drop Blanks?

Would also like to say that he isn't going to make it after this week. We have a 3 acquisition per week max and my friend who really likes him used all 3 earlier. Come Monday if Strasburg is there, my friend will take him.

In a non-keeper I think I'd roll with Young. He's more proven and I just can't see Strasburg being THAT dominant this year.

I don't know which roster you're talking about (I see two in your profile) so I can't really give advice on who to drop. Let me know and I'll check it out.

Thanks I returned the favor. I understand what you're saying. In a non keeper, coming up around June-July gives him a substantial hinder on what he can do for the year.

So Young for Blanks or Rasmus? I'd like to get a few responses before pulling the trigger on something.

Why are people down on Latos this year? Also should I drop Ervin Santana for another pitcher as well or hold onto him?

I'm not down on Latos, only that he'll be on an innings cap. No way I'd drop Ervin when the velocity is there and for the most part, his control has been pretty decent.

As far as Strasburg goes, he could be worth stashing, but I wouldn't mind platooning Blanks with Rasmus. I'd probably stand pat with your pitching as deep as it is.

Get Stras though, I think he would be worth holding on to. I would drop Ervin though probably....Try to trade Blanks. Young isnt bad though. since its non-keeper i would be more likely to wait a little longer and see if Stras is being considered to be brought up at least.

I see what you're saying. I'm assuming Strasburg will be there until Monday so I will give Blanks the full week to see how he performs. I'm pretty worried about them taking him out of the 5 spot if he under performs for a while which would just kill his value. I'm starting him tomorrow over Rasmus, maybe he can turn it around.

I dropped Prado making a spot for Reyes. I thought it was like other moves where it takes a day, but this was immediate (wanted to make sure I had him Saturday). I'm going to be left with 1 less hitter going for Friday, but picked up Strasburg. I'll see how Blanks does and if he shows me something I'll drop Strasburg and let someone else own him. A lot of the money in the league goes to 1st place in the playoffs, not overall during the season (about a 70/30 split). I figure my team is going to be good enough to get top 6/10 to make it into the playoffs and having Strasburg can really help me there.
