Peavy for El Caballo?

Postby pangbones » Wed May 13, 2009 2:05 pm

I'd get Peavy and Ludwick for Carlos Lee and J Maine. Not sure how long Ludwick will be out, but I'm very tempted to take this deal. What do you think?

C - McCann
1B - A Gonzalez
2B - Uggla
3B - Wright
SS - Furcal
OF - Braun, C Lee, Hawpe
Util - Pena, Werth
DL - E Santana, BJ Ryan

Bench - Taveras, Thome, S Drew

SP - Haren, Meche, J Shields, Bedard, Maine, R Johnson
RP - Qualls, J Cruz
Bench - Joba, Baker, J Zimmermann, T Hanson, Lindstrom, Rodney

10 Team, 6*6 (OBP and K's for hitters and L's for Pitchers), H2H, Keeper (3 players, at least 1 hitter and 1 pitcher)

I'd do it. Ludwick himself didn't think it was that bad, so I think they are probably putting him on the DL as a precaution. He'll be back by the end of the month. Plug Werth in until then. Peavy is a nice upgrade for your staff and Ludwick will be solid when he returns.

Nice looking deal. Peavy hasnt been great but he will turn it around enough and Ludwick is really going to be stride for stride with C. Lee when he comes back and is fully healthy. Maine is whatever. Very nice looking deal here buying low on Peavy. Thanks for the help on mine. ;-D

Highway robbery IMO, although bad timing with Ludwick's injury. Doesn't sound too serious though.

Were Ludwick healthy, this would be a no brainer. He's iffy on that front, but a monster with the bat. I'd pull the trigger...Peavy isn't a win machine since SD sucks, but he'll be a nice help in the K, ERA, and WHIP cats.

Pull the trigger! I have Peavy in one league and he can be really fustrating, but I think he'll put up some dominant numbers in summer.

You have a ton of power, you could use an excuse to put Taveras in the lineup since Furcal isn't doing what you want on the basepaths.

I like this deal for you. Peavy is perfect buy low and really Maine is a marginal help player, so this is excellent. NIce job.

Help with mine? http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=384983

I'm all over this one, Peavy will be a monster from here on out based on his recent play that correlated with some encouraging interviews I read through.

I think you're giving up a little bit value wise with Lee for Peavy, but Ludwick more than makes up for it. I like this deal for you quite a bit.

thanks for your help on mine.
