Keeper decisions

Postby wkpdpack » Sat Dec 20, 2008 8:45 pm

Keeper league, keep 7 year to year plus up to 5 on minor league bench. 5x5 roto scoring.

Presently I feel I have 8 keepers, so I'm looking to deal 2 for 1. I'm looking for thoughts on what 2 to deal and who to target with those 2.

Braun
Howard
Kinsler
Morneau
Kemp
Granderson
KRod
Atkins

Minor league bench: Ian Stewart, Rasmus, Brignac, Fowler, Smoak

You don't have a SS, so I would considering packaging at a position where you have a surplus coupled with a player that may have overachieved last season.

Morneau and KRod for an SS?

K-Rod and Atkins for an upgrade at 3B would be ideal.

you don't trade Braun,Kinsler or Kemp.
start out trying to move Howard & one of the last 3 for a really big fish
probably end up offering their choice of Granderson, K Rod & Adkins for that 1 improved player you are looking for.Adkins value at a couple year low maybe, he might be a tough sell. do it if you can

hard to say who to target but I think I Krod and atkins should go in some 2 for 1 maybe for a good SP

Heres the deal

Dont keep Atkins unless you have to

I would package 2 of Granderson, Krod, or Atkins to one of the bottom teams and try and get a decent 3B or SS. Personally I would try Krod and Atkins first because if you have a good team you don't need KROD because saves are easy to get

i agree with the basic sentiment here, i'd try to trade atkins for sure and pair him with one of granderson or k-rod (prefer to trade k-rod) and try to get an upgrade at 3B like A-ram or youk
