We have 40-man roster and 100-man minor league roster. We still have Rule V Draft, Free Agency and a Minor League Draft left to do this season. 21 game regular season, 6 teams making playoff.
Weekly roster changes. Starters include 1 C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, LF, CF and RF (yes, specific OF), 3 UT, 6 SP, 5 RP.
Free Agency is real time bids in a message board. Bidding on both regular FA and RFA. $430 cap for 40-man roster, no cap for minors.
Minor leaguers, when drafted, are given a salary based on draft position and initially signed for 4 years. No years come off that contract until the player is on the 40-man roster.
