I've been running a successful 20 team keeper league on Yahoo since 2003. In 2009 we became a money league as well. From time to time we've had a manager not return and finding a suitable replacement can sometimes be a pain. Being that we're a 20 team league things can be a little too in-depth for the casual fan and they quickly become overwhelmed and give up. Last year we came up with an idea of having a second "B-League" as a sort of feeder system for our main one. The setup would be identical to the current 20 team league except with two changes.
1) Entry would be only $25 as opposed to the main league's $50 entry.
2) Teams would only keep 2 players each year as opposed to 5.
The B-League would serve as a sort of vetting process to get quality new managers in our main league when the time comes. Folks could join this new league with lower stakes and get a chance to sort of feel out the format if they weren't used to such a deep league.
The league is run on Yahoo and we do a 5x5 H2H format with OBP in place of AVG. We do a live online draft through Yahoo.
20 teams will be divided into 4 divisions of 5. With a 22 week schedule you will play every team once and some of your divisional foes a second time. Top 8 teams make the playoffs with the 4 division winners securing the top 4 seeds.
The entry fee is $25 and the prize breakdown will be as such.
First Place = $250
Second Place = $100
Third Place = $75
Fourth Place = $50
Fifth Place = $25
We will use LeagueSafe.com to collect and distribute payments.
