Freddy Garcia didn’t match his teammate’s performance, but he did his best impression. Garcia ended up with a quality start and was rewarded with a victory for his efforts. His WHIP ended up being a bit high, but that’s the only part of his outing I can complain about. Overall it was a solid stream, and it gives Jake Westbrook a chance to keep our winning streak going on Wednesday.

Thursday
Tim Stauffer (SD) vs HOU – 35%
Thursday’s promising streaming options are thin, so the Padres righty is the easy choice. After being very good at the beginning of the season, Stauffer ran into some trouble recently, allowing 13 runs in three starts. He turned it around in his last outing, allowing one earned in seven innings and finally picking up his first win of the season. It’s hard to believe it took a pitcher with a 3.60 ERA almost two months to get a win, but that’s baseball. On Thursday he faces the anemic Astros offense in spacious PETCO, a park that turns pitcher’s mistakes into outs, a characteristic always welcome of a streamer’s park. Look for Stauffer to have good outing, and if he’s lucky he may even win his second game of the season.
Options: Bud Norris @ SD, Mike Pelfrey vs PIT.
