The Can of Corn – NL West Preview

Welcome to The Can of Corn, hosted by Michael Stephens and Darren Shimp! This week, we head to the realm of the NL West, where a winning record just might get you into the playoffs! Darren’s beloved Giants have a shot at finishing top-two in the division and he’s darn near giddy to tell you all about their promising young lineup and rotation. While we think the Padres should challenge 100 losses again, we still felt the need to include them because of Michael’s love for Jake Peavy (don’t worry, we’ll keep it short). With the Manny Ramirez situation potentially leaving the division in hanging in the balance, the guys will do their best job to break down the division, team-by-team, just as they have done with the rest of the NL, so tune in, grab your glove and head for the outfield, because here comes the Can of Corn!

In a shameless ploy for inter-site synergy, there will be copious refers from one medium to the other so we can fill your fantasy void with everything you want to know about all 30 MLB teams. Let’s continue with the NL West!
