Sleeper Watch

Before even the faintest possibility of Taguchi-mania gets mentioned, it should be made clear that So Taguchi (OF, St. Louis Cardinals) is no Ichiro. A career .277 hitter with decent speed but little power, So, who should see significant playing time in left field for St. Louis, should only be considered in very deep NL-only leagues. In an 8-game series against Major Leaguers in 2000, So hit .308, including going 2-for-4 against Randy Johnson, and swiped two bases, but expecting that kind of success over a full season seems much too optimistic. His biggest fantasy impact will most likely be ensuring that Albert Pujols stays at 3b.
