He’ll provide you with stellar whip and era, give you more than one strikeout for every inning he gives you, and pick up an occasional win. Plus, if Robb Nen goes down again, he’ll inherit the closer’s role. If you belong to the school of thought that middle relievers aren’t worth owning in shallow leagues, pick up Rodriguez. When you’re trying to squeeze the most out of every inning your league allows, he’ll make you very happy indeed.
